Hi, my name is Masako. I live in Norfolk, VA.

I was not able to speak English at all 10 years ago when I left for Canada to learn English. During the past decade, I have achieved completing a college program in Canada, obtaining U.S. national certificates (2!), getting jobs in medical field in Canada & the U.S., becoming Canadian & American immigrants, and getting married to an American man!

While I work as a receptionist at a cardiology office in Norfolk, VA, I teach English to students who live in Japan and just started my dream job as a medical translator and proofreader.

I would love to share my experience and thoughts especially about differences in culture and language between Japan and North America with you guys.

Enjoy my blog and please feel free to contact me if you have comments or questions.
